I recently bought an Allis CA non running and have it running great..kindof. It came with a junk zenith, and I had a good one off a power unit, had to change out the throttle shafts, then dang, where did that carb to gov link go? I did a search and found an old C one. Close enough. Had all kinds of problems until I just remembered that I was reading where the side weights on a CA are about 1" longer than a C. That must mean the engines about 1" longer too! D'oh. Yup, the link is too short. Problem solved. Q. Tractor Data.com shows horsepower difference of only 1 between my old WC and this CA. Does that mean I can sell the WC and plow my garden with my current 2 bottom trip plow, or should I keep the WC instead? I'm thinking the taller 28" tires and more weight might make a big difference, but want to hear from some of you who have used a CA with a 2 bottom plow. (mine does have front side weights) One of them has to go.
