You can often experience a leak both ways' i.e., from radiator into the oil, and the oil into the radiator. When running the oil pressure is higher than the coolant pressure, thus leak of oil into the coolant. When you stop the engine, the oil pressure return to zero pretty fast, but the coolant remains at full pressure and actually rises a bit, thus coolant into the oil. This "two-way" leaking is not uncommon. Give us some more details about your putting on a new gasket: why did you do it? previous leaks? mill head? have manuals? follow them for torquing? etc.
