Check steering for looseness. If there is, determine if it is in gearbox or somewhere else. Turn steering wheel lock to lock and see how it feels. Loaders are hard on these gearboxes. Check clutch and brakes for good operation. Do brakes hold OK ? See how much adjustment is left in clutch & brake linkage. If it's very little it could mean clutch and/or brakes will soon be needed. Pull T/A lever back and ride the brakes, T/A should not slip. The 300's are good, tough tractors, but as in all machines there are weak points. In the 300U it's the steering box and the brakes. For the asking price all these things should work acceptably. Send me an email if I can be any more help !
