Dan, Thanks, I found several posts on a diesel site that recommends to use "ATF rated MERCON or MERCON/DEXRON III", not ATF rated MERCON V or "universal" MERCON/MERCON V. Mobil 1 ATF AND AMSOIL seem to be approved fluids also. Now I'm looking into rear axle fluid too--some folks are saying 75/90 and others are saying 75/140--both synthetic. It appears the diesels have the Dana axles (front & rear) that need the 75/90 and the gas trucks have the Sterling axles use the 75/140. Still trying to sort that out too. Thanks again.
