WHEN I WAS A KID, MY DAD ALWAYS TOLD ME WHEN I NEEDED TO KNOW SOMETHING, DON,T BE AFRAID TO ASK QUESTIONS.AFTER RETIREING A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO I BEGAN RESTORING SOME FARMALL TRACTORS. MAINLY M,S AND SUPER M,S. I TORE THE ENGINE DOWN IN THE ONE I AM WORKING ON NOW, BUT WAS UNABLE TO GET THE CRANKSHAFT TO MOVE OVER A FEW INCHES.I WAS GETTING PRETTY FRUSTRATED BECAUSE I COULD NOT FIND THE REASON IT WOULDN,T MOVE. A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO AT A LOCAL ANTIQUE, SHOW I MENTIONED MY PROBLEM TO A FELLOW AND ASKED HIM IF HE HAD ANY IDEAS. HE SCRATCHED HIS HEAD A LITTLE , AND SAID, YOU KNOW, I DID HEAR SOMEONE TELL OF A SIMULAR POBLEM. SAID DIRT DOBBERS HAD PACKED MUD IN SO TIGHT THAT THE CRANK WOULDN,T MOVE.I THOUGHT I HAD LOOKED PRETTY GOOD AROUND THE CLUTCH, BUT I WENT BACK AND LOOKED AGAIN REAL GOOD TODAY. SURE ENOUGH, WAY UP IT THE TOP, SHE WAS PACKED FULL. DUG OUT THE DIRT, AND THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED.
