Davis, I worked as a machinist for over 30 years, and most of the shops I worked in wouldnt touch automotive because their liability insurance practically trippled. It was far better to make parts for aero-space industry than automotive. The reason is as stated in most of the posts below. Its hard to control what some moron will do as far as overloading or misloading a trailer, or abusing the vehicle, whereas anything that flies has a totally different and much more stringent set of rules to abide by.
