I've saved quite a lot of money on ebay, by being the second highest bidder. I understand what the "snipers" are saying but you will never beat me by sniping. I buy quite a lot of stuff on ebay. I find an item I want, research what I can buy it elsewhere for either new or used and place my bid accordingly. I almost always bid the highest that I am willing to go. If I get the item for less, GREAT! If I am outbid at the last second, that's OK because I would also have been outbid days earlier. For instance I bid $50 on an item but the next highest bid is only $25. I now have the item for $26. You snipers think that you can bid $27 or even $30 at the end and beat me. All you do is raise the price some. You can only beat me if you bid $51. And know what? I don't want to bid $52, never did, but I did want to bid $50. That's just my ebay philosophy. Not trying to be a wisea$$. But the only way a sniper is going to beat me is to bid higher than me. later slim
