Is there any relief in the prices of tractors and farm equipment? Been watching the prices of tractors and equipment and they still seem to be breaking records. If it something I am interested in the price starts at what I was thinking would be my buying price. Was looking at a tractor that I thought I would go about $10,000 on it knowing it needed some work, along with a new bucket and front tires. I knew it would take at least another $6000 to get it up to where I would be able to use it. Well, it sold for just short of $16,000 and still needed the additional $6000 put into it. Some say that with higher interest rates the prices are down, but I have not seen it. It's not just the farm tractors and equipment. I have been watching several farm toy auctions trying to buy a certain model tractor. People are paying some really high prices. I have never believed in buying toys for resale, and I would not pay a price that the loss of value will let you lose hundreds of dollars just so you can say you have one. When you see toys that are going for hundreds and even thousands more than they did just a couple of years ago, you wonder when is it going to slow down?

At one time I had seven restored examples which were shown and used in ploughing matches.
