A couple of days before we were planning to take a trip, my 2017 Duramax lit up its Check Engine light. No time to take it to the dealer, so I pulled out my OBDLink scanner to see what I could find. The code P026D was stored, so I googled that. I quickly found a bunch of posts saying to clean the TMAP sensor. Once I figured out where the TMAP sensor is (it's right on top of the turbo-to-intercooler manifold), I pulled it out and it was totally plugged with soot. I cleaned it up, re-installed it and cleared the code. 2400 miles later, after towing the camper to Maine and back, no check engine light.
Apparently this is a known problem with the L5P engine; soot from the EGR fouls out the sensor. You can buy an aftermarket spacer that supposedly fixes the problem, but it's so easy to clean the sensor I'll just do that every 20K or so. (I have about 80K on my truck.)
