For those interested, I bought my first cow/calf pair. A black angus cow with red angus heifer calf at her side. Very nice docial cow with good mothering instincts, About 4 years old. I'm hoping to buy a few more this winter and I'm looking at buying a heifer or two from the farm I work for. I also picked up my first 5 acres of hay ground last month and got it cut and baled over the weekend of July 4th. (I got 13 bales off of it). Looking at another 15 acres or so that I'm hoping to rent and get cut soon. I worked a deal out with the farm I work for that I got/get to use their hay equipment and tractor in exchange for brush mowing with my tractor and brush cutter for them and doing some skidsteer work. (with my skidsteer) I guess it's really all about who you know. My tractor cant pull their discbine I dont think and isn't wired for their baler so that's why I use their tractor. The most challenging part, has been finding feild land (I can afford), money, and the fact that I'm 15, so I cant run to get parts, diesel fuel, etc. when I need them I have to wait for my mom or dad which dont get me wrong I really appreciate all their help and I'm not complaining those have just been of my biggest challenges so far. The calf is Camara shy, lol. -Garrett

I was driving the 1948 8N Ford tractor that Jimmy bought in 48 new This was prebably in about 1951 and maybe even befor the house was built. This would have made me to be about16 years old and I drove the tractor for nothing and would have paid to drive it if I had had any money which I didn't, but neit
