I bought this pickup in March of 1981...factory ordered it with a 6 cylinder HD 4 speed manual trans, HD suspension and posi rear for a work truck on the farm. Still single at the time, so I fancied it up a bit with the top of the line Silverado trim level, styled wheels and two tone paint....probably one of one. Drove it for 15 years and over 200k miles. Sold it to a neighbour who drove it for another 10 years then parked it out in the field for another 10 years. I knew it as there, so I approached him last week, bought it and trailered it home. A bit of gas and it runs! Does need a lot of work, so it may be a long term project. Wife questioned my sanity to which I replied" We used to date in that truck and it brought all our kids home from the hospital when they were born...." To which she softened her stance and I think I have her approval, albeit grudgingly. So, on the lookout for new doors fenders, box... Bottom picture is the truck when new. Ben
