I bought an S185 about 5 years ago when I wasn't looking for one. Got it for quite a bit less than 20k but the tires were slick and the bucket was half full of concrete. It had 1400 or so hours and ran like a top with the Kubota engine and no leaks anywhere. I bought new recaps with foam and bought a used bucket from a rental place that was going out of business.
This machine has not given me any trouble whatsoever. The person who was disappointed with the hydraulics should have rented a larger machine cause mine lifts what it's rated at. The head and ac work also. Love the bobcat quik tach
