I've also bought off Gunbroker before with no problems--if you have a local dealer you trust they'll often have an account and many will list it for you and handle the paperwork relatively cheaply, which would mean you wouldn't have to get an account of your own. If you do get an account, I believe they require a credit card and will charge it $1.00 to ensure it's active and not fraudulent. Haven't heard of any problems beyond that (the site is long-established and fully legitimate) but wanted to mention it. As mentioned, pay attention to SELLING price, not ASKING price--Gunbroker is full to overflowing with clueless dreamers listing (and re-listing and re-re-listing....) guns for 2-3 times their market value in the vain hope of finding someone even less knowledgeable than them, which means you have to wade through a lot of ridiculous pricing on even common guns in order to find what you're after. Still, you'll find lots of interesting stuff there, and it's a definitely a dangerous site for someone with an empty hole on the gun rack to be on!

In our particular hobby, we enjoy the nostalgic return to the days of our youth as we recreate many of the scenes that took place on the family farm that served as the stage for the first few acts of the play that is our live
