In W SC we got about 1/2 inch of rain, need more as we are 6 inches behind for the year, most of the shortage over the last 2 months. Charleston got about 8, Columbia 6. Part of I 95 flooded like it did last year about this time.
Charleston's problem is that it is close to sea level. Rainwater only needs to flow a few blocks to get to the ocean. However, when the tide is high the water is dammed up and this makes the water in the streets deeper.
Considerable wind damage along the coast. Today where I live we had stiff breezes, somewhat like Kansas seems to have all the time, based on my brief trip through the area some years ago. No wind damage locally. At this time we still have clouds and a light breeze, no rain, locally.
