Yesterday I mentioned Ford had a special for 12.95 oil change. Wife gets the car there, and is third in line. three service writers in the area. only one doing the cars in line. after about 15 minutes we got tired of waiting and leave. since I already had the oil and filter I ended up changing the oil my self. Here is what I found. My oil drain plug rubber seal has been leaking. I have been seeing small oil spots where she parks. The drain plug has a shoulder, and the rubber gasket compresses only so much. Wish I had known this I would have picked up a new rubber gasket while I was at ford. I wonder if anyone else had this problem with their ford drain plug gasket? If not better have a new gasket handy on your next oil change. I put some gasket sealer on the plug until the next oil change hoping it will seal. Stan
