I knew when I bought that Vicon discbine that the conditioning rolls were rough. I went out and tried to cut with it yesterday and it was spitting more and more pieces out as I went along. After about four rounds it's was so far gone that all it wanted to do was wrap. I ended up taking the rolls right out. It makes a heck of a nice trailing disc mower. The hay's heavy and down like I haven't seen in a long lot of years, but it seems to be shaving it right clean to the ground. Only trouble I can see right now is,the hay isn't even hitting the deflectors and it's laying about an eight and a half foot swath from a nine foot cut. Good for drying maybe, but probably not for raking. I'm going to cut a piece of steel and see if I can put a deflector right close to the far end disc to get at least a little bit of a gap between the swaths. Oh well,it cuts to beat the band and I don't have much in to it.
