Can't say we didn't try. We opened our tractor repair shop August of 2012 and as of 8 this morning it is no longer open to the public. It wasn't for financial reasons but more so that I don't have to start drinking. I've learned a lot about different parts of our great nation. I think trying to apply grain belt experience to northern Wisconsin farmers is a bad idea. The 16 years I spent working in the Illinois farming community has taught me that when you repair something you do it right so that it can be depended upon. Where I am here, it's not do it right, it's do it cheap and maybe make things fit for now and then complain when it doesn't last. I just don't get it. So here's my hat tip to the heartland farmers who care enough to put your equipment in a shed, wash it once in a while and aren't afraid of a grease gun.
