Beware even trying to repower with a 3208. If a topkick is like a C70, there is a lot of work to do. Been there tried that and failed.
Cab had to be raised, found the cab mounts in a junkyard and paid dearly for them.
Accessory drives will be a pain unless the 3208 comes from a Chevy/GMC.
Then there is the matter of the engine itself. On an 8.2 Detroit, the left bank is forward of the right bank, gives clearance at the firewall for the left head. On a 3208, the RIGHT bank is forward and the left head hits the firewall before the motor supports will hook up. I wasn"t willing to take a torch to the one I was working on, so abandoned the project and put in a reman 8.2. Found out later, there is a factory plate that covers the hole the factory cuts for LH head clearance.
