Neighbor kid to the rescue again.....
Posted a few weeks ago about the quad just quiting, then making a little tapping noise and oil being empty.... 75 bucks including shipping for a used jug and piston (guy threw in new rings and headgasket) and it's back on the road working better than before. He went thru the wiring spagetti and simplified a bunch of junk that he had on for lights (got the quad from him 3 or so years ago), and put new tires on the front so I can get it inspected this week. He wanted to use my stihl MS250 and gave it back with a rebuilt carb and running better than it ever did. Think his dad set that up after seeing me cussing thru a few downed branches...... Won't take anything for it, so I gave his dad a northern tool catalog and told him to tell me what he could use and I have a nice collection of valuable used tractor parts that I'm gonna unload on him.
Done now...Gonna have to get some work done now that I have no excuses ........
