Made my chore loop tis morning and saw the lid open on a water tank. I always bolt them fast so went to look. Someone had stuck a stick behind the drinker tongue so it wouldn't work and opened the lid (about a 12" hole) so the horses would put their head in to drink (you could see hair)...
4 horses on the pasture are always under my feet when I get there and only two came to meet me. Went to find the other two and found them heads hanging in a cormer... Called them and about freaked when they turned.....
Sent pics to the wife at work and asked her what to do/which vet to call.... She said bring them home and she'd be there to take care of them.... hour and a half after finding them, they look much better and are recovering from the woozy shots........... Didn't even cross my mind in my panic/rage that she takes care of the animal doctoring and has everything on hand....
And people wonder why I'm such a small puncture wound when they hang around pastures and the horses.....
