Well, you can pretty much guarantee that the tractor has been painted at some point in its life, and the only decals that were available would have been the latest "IH McCormick Farmall" style.
People didn't care about "correct" in the 1950's 1960's 1970's. They just wanted bright red paint.
IIRC, up to 1947, the decals should be "McCormick Deering Farmall" with no IH logo.
I think 1948 models should have "IH McCormick Deering Farmall" decals, up into 1949.
