Well, on my quest to own a Super A, I heading to an auction next week. I will be bidding on a 1952 Super A. Wondering how far I should go on price? This is what I found out about her: 1) New engine in 1970. Block was cracked. Not worked hard since then. 2) Good power, doesn't smoke and no front or rear engine seal leaks. 3) Tranny ok. 4) Brakes work great. 5) Electric still 6 volts. Tune up 2 yrs ago. Has both front and rear lights. All gauges functional. 6) Tractor has adjustable front axle, all 4 wheel weights, fluid filled tires. All rims good w/one new rear rim. 7) Steering box rebuilt 2 yrs ago and is tight. No cracks. 8) Sheetmetal good with a few minor dents in grill. 9) Tractor has been freshly painted with old Farmall red color and brand new decals. 10) Hydraulics work well and there's a 6 ft belly mower with her. Can anyone give me an idea on a price range for this fine tractor. The owner says I may not be able to see it until the day of the sale. That's the bummer part. I'm going to work on him to change his mind on that one. So what do you think?......$10,000? :-) Hope it's as nice as this one I saw at the Smithburg, MD show this year. Thanks a bunch, Tyler in Maryland

At one time I had seven restored examples which were shown and used in ploughing matches. As most restorers, I have a number of war stories I can relate on a range of topics that may help other like minded and interested people. Perhaps my first p
