Put a 10 inch block of wood underneath the fast hitch drawbar, set the brakes & lower the hitch until it just touches the block, shut the tractor off, and continue to lower the hitch, move the hydraulic lever both ways full up & full down several times, this will releive any pressure on the cylinder.
Get off the tractor and remove the bottom pin holding the large cylinder to the hitch, may take a bit of persuasion but be patient, once the pin is out you can swing the cylinder out of the way of the fill plug, or remove the top pin also & set the whole cylinder out of your way, the drain plug and fill level plug are both behind the large cylinder on the left side of the PTO housing, it takes a 3/8 ratchet or breaker bar to remove them.
Take the time to remove the breather also and clean by submersing in solvent or diesel fuel.
Replace the drain plug & refill up to the filler plug hole with hytrans or
20 wt oil whichever you prefer. It will be a bit noisier than before, so don't worry.
