Got the Hydro 70 going again. Never did find the carb no. I talked to a nice fella named Morgan at Mc Donald carburetor in Georgia that said he could get me a shaft if I sent the carb to him. They had one for sale that would fit a 301 so it would probably work. Long story short,I told my friend Tom about my problem. He is a retired Boeing machinist. He took my carb on Saturday night and went on Sun. to see his friend Marvin who is also retired from Boeing. Came back Sun. night with an assembled carb with a new shaft. Put it on and only had to adjust the idle. Runs perfect. It seems Marvin has about 200,000 worth of machines in his home shop. He builds and modifies guns for shooting competions. Thanks to all for your suggestions.
