I have a International 544I that I am fearing might have a cracked block. The head checked out fine and replaced the head gasket but still coolant is getting into the oil and blowing out the exhaust. I am going to try and pressurize the radiator and look up threw the bottom to see if there might be a crack. I would like to know if anyone else might give me any ideas what else could be the problem. I would also like to know if a cracked block could be fixed? The engine is a C-200 sleeveless, I believe.
Secondly I would like to know if this is a problem with the exhaust/intake manifold. It is cracked juist where the second bolt is from either side. Would this pose a problem cause it seems to be very rusted and pitted and burned up around both exhaust outlets on the head and manifold. Looks as if though it is causing a problem keeping the exhaust sealed. Is this fixable and how?
