I have an opportunity to acquire a derelict McCormick-Deering (Model 1020?)that I found in a field near where I live. Is this a decent tractor to restore? I don't know whether or not this tractor burns gasoline, kerosene or diesel. I have no clue as to the tractor's running (or not) condition, as it has probably sat in the same place for fifty years, judging by the other parts and debris. One of the rear steel wheels is perforated in at least one place by rust. Bullbriers are growing around the tractor and I could only get close enought to the tractor to make out the ID tag on the air cleaner, which indicated that it had been manufactured in 1922. Can anybody help me out with where to start for restoring a tractor this old, advice or point me to the proper manuals, etc? Thanks. Jim Ellis
