Hi, I've been looking for a good 240 Utility for quite a while now, and finally found one, however it's not exactly like most I've seen. It is a 1960 model serial number 9810 X J. It is yellow, and appears to always have been yellow. It has what appears to be a factory 3-pt hitch, rather than a 2-pt fast hitch. It also has a foot throttle that operates with your right heal. I thought all 240's of this eara would have had a 2-pt, not a regular 3-pt, and have never seen one with a foot throttle. Was there an industrial version of the 240U? How common are these options.
My intentions were to repaint this the traditional Red/White, but wonder now if I would be making a mistake by doing so. Any help with distinguishing this tractor is greatly appreciated! Thanks again, Rob Bush
