thanks for your advise i did have a look and added a replie to my first post. ive pulled the govenor off a dead engine i have and jumpped in the deep end, and supprised how simple it is the brass bushes have needle bearings and seem good only bad thing ive found is the small bearing is siezed and brass collar has spun on shaft dosnt seem to have halmed anything and bearing has worn in to the two pins on forks.does the govenor have to be timed because there are no marks on gear drive. just want to know before i take the one off running engine. if i get new bearings and hopefully can make a good one of the two how do i syncronize govenor to carb. thanks for your help adam
