If this tractor has battery ignition, have you checked for battery voltage at the coil? If you are using (+ plus) ground on the battery, the plus terminal wire on your coil goes to the distributor. Use a volt meter or lite to check for voltage at the coil with ignition switch on. If you have voltage at the coil, pull the coil from the cap and hold within 1/8-1/4" of a good ground on the tractor while someone attempts to start tractor. You need to check the point gap, should be .020". Clean the points with some 320 grit and then clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol. You should have a hot spark from that coil wire. Hal
