I"ve had this 1953 super M three years. It has the live hydraulic pump up by the distributor and motor oil fill, and a reservoir behind and under the gas tank. I added a 3pt hitch and ran the line out of the left side of the reservoir. For two years the 3pt hitch worked great - came up quickly and would hold at a position when I put the hydraulic lever down to the first notch. The reservoir has always leaked some, and I have had to add oil (used nondetergent 30 wt). The problem is that the 3pt hitch now won"t hold its position. It leaks down rapidly. The pump seems to be OK in that it will quickly lift whatever"s on the hitch, but within 10 seconds or less you have to relift. Any ideas on how to fix this problem? Thanks for any help.
