My father bought a 154 recently that is not charging, and I'm sure the voltage regulator is the wrong one, because the terminals are not like the diagram shows. Does anybody know the correct part number? And where to get one? All the parts websites I look at list the 154s regulator along with the regular Cubs, and I am pretty sure that the regulator for the 154 has to be different due to the starter/generator they used. I was thinking of using a Cub Cadet regulator, and mounting it under the dash instead of on the generator due to it's different mounting bracket. Would this work o.k.?
