Have a 560 gas and it would run fine till it was pulled hard for a few minutes then it would start popping and backfireing thru the air cleaner. The points were shot again( bought them by the 6 pack seemed like) and then I got a electronic ignition with the 1/8 inch air gap. The old distributor was worn and loose and new ones are not available the guy told me that this would take 99% of the problems away. That it did and I did the same to my old IHC truck and it runs better than ever also
