Thanks, Hugh. I have not monkeyed with the governor-carb linkage, and hadn't thought about it. I will start there. No, I did not get into the governor during restoration. It operates smoothly when applying hand pressure to it. If that doesn't do it, I will be back in touch, since I don't have a clue what the thrust bearing is. Thanks again.
