Has anyone ever heard of an H jumping time? I would think that would be more likely with an engine with a timing chain rather than one with gears. Mine was running fine, then began to be hard to start. Now it won't start at all. I'm getting good fire from the coil, but it's not getting to the plugs. If I use the electric starter there is no fire to the plugs the whole time it is spinning. When you let off the starter, the plug wire might fire once or twice as the engine coasts down. When using the hand crank, the plug wire might fire or it might not. I wonder if it is trying to fire when the rotor button is not lined up with the spark plug terminal in the distributor cap. The rotor button does not have a good tight fit on the shaft. There is some play in it. Could this be my only problem? Also, how do you remove the plastic cover that is under the rotor button, but over the points and condenser? I don't want to break anything. Thanks, Hal Davis
