Tuesday morning the International Plowing Match opens in Glencoe Ontario. This event runs through to Sunday. This is 80 acres of huge tents and displays for every concept there is in agriculture. There will be a massive display of agricultural machinery both newest and antique. The antiques cover several acres, with steam demonstrations in threshing, sawing , planning and shingle making. There will be antique farm equipment as well. There are fashion shows demonstrations, model homes, steel sheds , barns and other agricultural buildings set up on the site. This is the biggest county fair you will ever see in your life incorporating an agricultural background...oh yeah, there is the plowing competions , antique tractor, modern , even horse drawn..horseshoe competions etc. with an expected attendance of 20,000+ per day...if you are in driving range of southern Ontario you have an opportunity to take in Ontario's largest and oldest agricultural event. I plan on going on Thursday. Friends have come up from Coshocton Ohio to take it in. There will also be manual dealers, toy farm tractor dealers and all related vendors. Its well worth it. My dad took me out of school when I was about 15 and we went to the International somewhere in Bruce county..I'll never forget that and the cherished time dad and I spent that day..welcome to Ontario everyone!!Mike in Exeter Ontario
