wheel hub removal?

I plan to remove the right rear wheel bearing cover and drill out and retap the grease zerk, as it is broken off. How hard is it generally to get the wheel hub off. I see from he parts diagram it is a spline shaft. My other experiences on this tractor with splines hasnt been too great. In general is the hub a difficult thing to remove? Any tips or suggestns besides the usual pentrating oil and heat? I'm assuming prying against the axle casting isnt good for the internals. maybe a big gear puller? I dont plan to do this for a little while, but definitely before spring hits and I get to work her hard!!
