Installing cam bearings

I'm finally ready to start putting my '48 H back together and the first problem I ran into is: How to install the cam bearings. I cannot find anyone around to rent a cam bearuing tool from. Is there any way to install the bearings with out destroying them? I really don't want to haul the block down to a machine shop. It's quite a ways to the closest shop! And it's raining today
