It may sound simple to those of you I gain info from, but had a great day working on my H yesterday. My Dad came over and we changed front wheel bearings, PTO shaft seal and removed fuel tank for painting. Everything came apart easily (for once) and went together well too. Got to see the inside of the transmission and thank goodness, it looked good too. My IH dealer (Sterling Farm Equipment), as usual, had all parts in stock, including the gaskets for the hubcaps. The bearings were shot, but talk about parts built to last....I suspect that this may be the first set of bearings this machine has had. The bearings and bearing cups were engraved with "IHC" and what I think is a part number. I kept one as a souvenir....dumb, huh? We also think that somewhere along the way it has been in some kind of accident, because I have a later model set of front wheels. Luckily Dad was there to point that out, or I would have picked up the wrong parts. Anyhow, sorry to bore you all, just was really pleased and had to tell someone about it. Thanks for sharing all your info, still printing and saving it for future reference. Chris
