Thanks,

From the looks of the IPL it just threads off. Sometimes there is a LH threaded screw that goes inside the chuck and threads into the spindle but yours doesn't appear to have that. Open the jaws all the way to be sure. When you look inside you will see an allen head if it has that screw.

If it doesn't you just need to thread it off. You can try putting an allen wrench in a vise and tightening the chuck on the end of the allen. Then put the drill in reverse and back it off. If that doesn't work (and it often doesn"t) put an allen bit in your impact and tighten it in the chuck. Then impact it off. You may need to run the drill just enough to prevent the impact from simply spinning the drill.

If it has a key chuck, a good smack with steel bar on the key, while in the chuck may do the trick. Seen it done many times, never tried it. p.s. Like other said, look inside for hidden screw.

The advantage of a name brand tool over some pos china made tool from Harbor Fright is name brand tools are backed up by replacement parts and service centers. Click on the link below to find the Bosch Service Center nearest you. Call them and they will probably be able to answer your question.
I have a Bosch 4X24" belt sander that I've had for about 15 years. About 2 weeks ago the wear plate on the bottom of it wore out and fell off.
I called the National Bosch parts center, gave them the model # and they shipped a new one to me.
Cost was $18.60 with shipping and it arrived in 4 days.
