From personal experience, I can say that grazing Johnson Grass from frost to frost will kill most of it. Graze it for 5 years and all is supposed to be gone. The only problem, IMO, is seed that stays dormant in the ground. Johnson Grass comes from rihozmes (sp?), or roots in the ground which causes the most problems. Grazing keeps the roots from storing up strength for the nezt year. It also comes from seed which it produces in quantity. Cows love to graze Johnson Grass and will hunt it out. Mowing it once a week will get rid of it too. You dont see Johnson grass in a half way well kept lawn. It also will make 2 cuttings of good hay in a season(in SC) but this wont kill it, just encourage it. Good luck. KEH
