Should have had the wheat cut a couple weeks ago, but you know the story with the rain. When it finally quit, hay was past ready, ...... Anyway, I"m wanting to bale straw behind the wheat, and haven"t done it before. How low should I cut the stubble? My old combine is a JD 4400 gasser with a 15 ft header. I"m wondering if it could handle the load to cut the wheat low, or if it pays to do so.
