There was an article in one of the latest issues of Red Power about a fellow who was tired of his Cub carb leaking. He searched around and found that with minor modification he could remove the Viton tipped float needle from the seat/needle assembly of a Holley carb and install it directly in the Cub carb. According to the article it ( primarily the soft Viton tip ) solved his leaking problem. I think the Holley was a model 6504. I can confirm if anyone is interested . I checked on the Holley needle and seat , the price was about $12.
