A smaller loader can take out the same tree as a dozer because you can reach up higer. A loader can work trees better if you are not working on steep inclines. If the loader is equiped with 4 N 1 it makes them even better. If you have to do a lot of dirt work you might be better off with a dozer. I have had both and I liked the loader with a 4 N 1 mine was a CAT 941
