: Does anyone know of a source on a GOOD video on how to restore an 8n from a painting standpoint? Everything mechanical is ok, its just ugly and needs paint bad. thanks.
I recently restored an 8-N. It was is bad shape when I started. First of all, I took all the stuff to be painted grey off and stagged it is a seperate area.
Cleaning is important. Remove most of the items like the spark plug wires, meters, steering wheel and other items that are easy to get off.
there was some suggestions as to prime the tractor before painting. I primed all the parts to be painted red.
You can get the paint at any New Holland Dealer. I suggest the original supplier for the paint. It is more expensive but good.
Use a good paint system for spraying. It should turn out alright. Be sure to get every thing clean and free of dirt and oil
