: : : MY 8N STARTS AND RUNS FINE WHEN IT'S THE FIRST START OF THE DAY. HOWEVER, WHEN I RUN IT AND THEN SHUT IT DOWN IT'S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO RESTART. IF I LET IT SIT FOR A WHILE AND COOL OFF IT STARTS FINE AGAIN. IT SEEMS AS IF THE STARTER WON'T TURN IT OVER WHEN IT'S HOT. ANY IDEAS? THX

: : I've experienced the same thing on a few Fords and the problem has been the Solenoid.Hope this helps, Me

: :::Sorry for the intrusion on this topic, but this is a message for Indian Guy on an unrelated topic. As to the desert vegetable garden book, try this site http://www.kaiwan.com/~wem/smith.html ,the book is $6.50 and you can e-mail the author direct. Man, this internet stuff is mind boggling. Bonehead (Do you think the battery could be over charging on that 8-n ?)

:is it 6v or 12v? and is engine running hot? how about ign. timming. if its still 6v with generator you may want to convert to 12v.
