Id say its just another offshoot of MTD. I think MTD and Murry do this quite a bit. I own a 71 murry made under the name Unicoi but murry parts fit. Even the numbers are the same. Make sure theres an MTD tag on it somewhere, you should have no problem finding parts at your local MTD dealer.
