Hey guys the reason the Euro diesels don't smell is because they have taken the sulphur out of the fuel. You can line up a dozen taxis and a bus all idelling at the airport on a cool damp morning and there is less smell than if they were gassers. Was in UK this spring and went for a day trip with friends from there in his C80 Volvo diesel. Nice car,but get this,he gets 70, yes 70 miles per Imperial gallon at highway speeds. Makes me mad that we don't get that kind of performance here. They have 2 grades of diesel at the pumps and the people claim the high grade is actually cheaper because of better mileage. Our oil companies need to get there buts in gear and take the fuel up a notch or 2. You will find about as many gas cars there as you find diesels here. The newer diesels are very nice and quite too.
