Most frequently the main drive gear, that being the first gear on the input shaft inside the trans. has lost it's teeth. The last I checked it was very expensive. My local Bolens dealer has handled Bolens for many yearsand still stocks many parts.Their name Merse J. Process Co. Centerville Pa. Phone 814-654-7165 They may by able to help you
