He said that he has found a little antifreeze (less than a cup, which is what I found) in the oil many times before after a tractor had sit over the winter season. He has checked for leaks in those cases and never found anything. He said to run the tractor one afternoon and drain a little oil out to see if coolant is still leaking into the oil. If so, then have it checked out. If no coolant is in the oil after a day, the I don't have a problem to be concerned about.

Does this sound reasonable? Please let me know if you think this is a good or bad idea. I appreciate your help.

: Uh-oh. You could have a blown head gasket (the best scenario), a cracked head (bad), or a cracked engine block (worst). The head gasket would be easiest and cheapest to have fixed, the other two are going to cost some bucks. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Sorry for the bad news.
