: : I am looking for a picture of a 460 International or some information on one. thanks
: Tony,
: I don't have any pictures or written information but, the International 460 was a "standard" type tractor, available with wide front axle only and had a shorter wheelbase than the Farmall, while a Farmall 460 was a "row crop" type tractor, and was available with either a single tricycle front wheel, dual tricycle front wheels, or wide front axle. The Farmall was also offered in a "high clearance" version. The 460 had a high speed type six cylinder engine in either gasoline, LP Gas, or diesel versions. The diesel started on diesel with the help of glow plugs whereas the 350 which it replaced had four cylinder engines in all three fuels and the diesel versio of the 350 had a dual combustion cylinder head and was started on gasoline then switched over to diesel. Most all of the transmission rear end castings and transmission and rear end parts are the same on the 350 and the 460. The two point hitch had different draft control linkage but either the 350 or 460 hitch would work on either tractor.

If I remember right, the 350 diesel had a Continental diesel instead of an IH. It was the first of the "H"s with a diesel. The International 460 is a Utility not a Standard. I've seen 560 Standards, but no 460s. Of course in N.IL., you see more Farmalls than anything else.
